 The Jonas Brothers rang in the new year with a blog post on their website talking about what they were thankful for in 2008 and Avril made the list! As you might remember, the Jonas Brothers opened for Avril Lavigne on the European leg of The Best Damn Tour. JB says that they're thankful to Avril for giving them their first chance to tour outside of the US and that "It was a great opportunity to meet people from all over Europe." Aww shucks!!  For today you guys picked a picture that was taken almost exactly 5 years ago. If you happen to live in a county that happens to be very cold at this month, then you might get jealous. It was taken in sunny Los Angels on January 13th. As you can see on this picture, it is indeed possible to go shopping in winter and just wear a shirt, and yes I did checked the date twice. I would highly recommend you not to do this unless you live in New Zealand, Australia or in any other countries that happens to be very lucky at the moment.  The BA Crew is is thrilled to announce the birth of the newest member of our Bandaids family: Our new logo! He/She (we haven't quite decided yet) was born at 9:27 PM last night after six hours of labour to proud parents Justin and I. (Justin did most of the heavy lifting... I stood by and held his hand while "criticizing endlesslessy" as Justin calls it.) Anyways, as it turns out now that he/she is here, our new logo needs a name! And while I was named Baby A for the first 10 days of my life, I'm thinking our logo deserves something a little more personal. Which is why we need your help! When you think of The Best Damn Thing era your mind naturally goes on a whirlwind of pink, black, stars, hot, cute, Abbey Dawn, pink stripes ... and well you get the gist but aren't we forgetting something? The wonderous things which gets Avril from A-Z - her tour buses! This particular custom tour bus was primed at the ready for the release of Abbey Dawn, whether practical or commercil use, that's what you call traveling in style!

The year is 2002. The Photoshoot is 'Entertainment Weekly'. Wondering what is so significant about this? Notice the pendant Avril is wearing. 5 years on, a similar version (and, a somewhat less evil looking) of this was made as the official logo of Avril's CD, The Best Damn Thing. Coincidence? Certainly not. We all know that Avril loves everything to do with skulls and crossbones so much that she has stuck by them over the years. Anyway, enjoy today's Picture of The Day..

We are close to the end of 2008, so obviously the last POTD Members' Choice of 2008 should be in style. 2008 was the year of Abbey Dawn and of course The Best Damn Tour. Abbey Dawn ended up being an amazing clothing line worn by fans all over the world, while The Best Damn Tour included over a 100 shows. The picture of today is from her last day on tour, in Bejing China. From the reviews and video's we can tell it was an amazing show, and was a great reflection on how the Best Damn Tour was, plain amazing. With the pictures, videos and of course, memories we can say goodbye to 2008 the year of an amazing world tour. We can't wait for 2009 to start with amazing surprises and maybe new music?
